Queensland Urban Utilities is the name of the new water and wastewater business which will provide services to the cities and townships of five council regions in South East Queensland - Brisbane, Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Somerset. Queensland Urban Utilities will operate as a division of Brisbane City Council until July 2010 when the new water business will be jointly owned by all five councils. From 1 July 2010 this role will be transferred to the new business.

The Treatment Planning and Engineering section of Asset Management is responsible for planning, design and project delivery/commissioning support of upgrades of existing and new treatment plants.

The Senior Process Engineer will:

undertake strategic planning
perform feasibility studies
provide detailed design
support project delivery and project commissioning.

You will need:

a degree in a relevant engineering discipline
a water and wastewater background
experience in delivering outcomes
design and planning ideally combined with experience at an operational level
a good understanding of current legislation, policies and Australian standards in the industry
excellent communicate skills
self-motivation
excellent influencing skills able to build and maintain strong stakeholder partnerships
excellent IT skills and experience using treatment plant design and modelling software.
